Beginners Arduino Course in Auckland

What could be better than spending a weekend learning about Arduino, the favorite open source physical computing platform for designers, artists and hobbyists. Meet like minded tinkerers in Auckland, extend your knowledge and get started in a friendly learning environment designed especially for beginners.

Don't have any experience with software, electronics or physical computing? Excellent! This course is designed for beginners who have no experience with one or more of the areas of software, electronics and physical computing. Students, artists, and designers are especially welcome to attend.

Class size is strictly limited so you will receive more personal attention over the weekend.

Day one will cover an introduction to physical computing and then get you started with the Arduino, writing sketches and connecting parts. Day two will provide you with an opportunity to create your own project that interacts with its environment while you learn how to use a variety of sensors and control devices. And you'll get to take your project home with you!

MindKits is proud to provide the opportunity for you to attend this course.

The course will be taken by Kim Newall who teaches at AUT in Auckland and has a wealth of knowledge around Arduino, combining tech with creativity and improvisation. He brings an excellent mix of understanding the technology and applying it creatively and I'm very pleased to be able to offer his skillset as a learning tool to you.
