Hagen + Co handcraft a range of exclusive, statement jewellery pieces. Contemporary and vibrant, these pieces are designed by Nicole for lovers of colour and fashion.

The Problem - Bringing Jewellery Designs To Life Fast Enough

Hagen + Co jewellery pieces are unique and experimental. Outsourcing laser cutting of the jewellery components cost precious time, and wasted materials. Hagen + Co was unable to grow as outsourcing cutting prolonged the completion of orders. The limited time frames also prevented easy experimentation with new designs.

Hagen + Co Use Laser Cutters

The Solution - Laser Cutting Technology

Hagen + Co make use of a Flux Beambox Pro laser cutter from MindKits to design and cut all of their jewellery in-house.

The laser cutter ensures Hagen + Co have an efficient and reliable lead time - reassuring for stores who receive orders super quick. The cutter has allowed Nicole to supply 40 stockists around New Zealand, and ten in Australia, with more clients constantly being added to the list.

Competitive Advantage

When compared with outsourcing laser cutting, laser cutting in-house with MindKits machines is leagues more efficient. Hagen + Co struggled to meet customer demand with long lead times, and wasted materials due to not being able to set the files up to cut themselves. They can now make use of every millimetre of material.

With a personal laser cutter Hagen + Co is able to imagine a style, sketch it, draw it into Adobe Illustrator and have it laser cut within no time. It’s a game changer for creating and experimenting with new styles and designs.

A demonstration prior to purchase and training session also enabled Nicole to select the most fit-for-purpose laser cutter, and use it for optimal results and efficiency.
