A CO2 laser is the most versatile choice for everyday workshop materials. R1 cuts and engraves plywood, clear acrylic, leather, fabric, paper, EVA foam and shell, and engraves glass, ceramic and coated metal. With the medium- or long-focus lens it cuts up to 18 mm black walnut plywood and 20 mm acrylic in one pass.*

TRISENSE SYSTEM

What you mark is what you cut.

A BirdsEye Camera captures the whole bed, a Toolhead Camera locates exactly what you are working on, XY encoders track the head in real time, and a pinpoint laser plus distance-measurement laser set focus automatically. The result is absolute motion accuracy under 0.1 mm over 600 mm.

AUTO LASER ALIGNMENT

No manual calibration.

Aligning a CO2 optical path usually means test shots and trial and error. Mount R1's Laser Alignment Sensor on the toolhead and it measures the beam, detects misalignment and corrects the path automatically in about a minute.

PRECISION

Follows curves, finds the tiny stuff.

Height sensing follows every rise and fall on cups, bowls and uneven surfaces. Measurement stays accurate on glass and clear acrylic, and the Toolhead Camera can trace a printed outline, trim a sticker or place fine detail on a small part.

BAMBU ALGORITHMS

Fast, without losing detail.

Vibration compensation, the same technology used in Bambu Lab 3D printers, keeps lines crisp out of every turn. R1 also compensates as it moves so engraving depth stays even at up to 1,000 mm/s.

SAFER BY DESIGN

Cleaner air and layered protection.

Crossflow ventilation brings fresh air in one side and exhausts smoke from the other for a steady flow across the whole chamber. Lid-open stop, flame detection, a safety key and an emergency stop are all standard. The enclosed machine is a Class 1 laser product.

Grow into bigger projects

Add the Riser Base for taller objects, the Rotary Attachment for 360-degree engraving on bottles and cups, medium- and long-focus lenses for thicker stock, and the Conveyor to feed boards up to 3 metres long. Pair R1 with the E1 Pro smoke purifier to filter smoke and odour at the source. All accessories are sold separately.
