Nylon 12 Carbon Fiber is MakerBot's flagship composite material — Nylon 12 reinforced with chopped carbon fiber for an outstanding stiffness-to-weight ratio. It produces strong, heat-resistant, dimensionally stable parts, making it the go-to choice for metal replacement applications: jigs, fixtures, end-of-arm tooling and functional end-use parts.
Compared with standard nylons, Nylon 12 CF absorbs less moisture and prints with excellent surface finish and minimal warping in the METHOD's controlled, heated chamber.
