High-temperature filament drying and automatic material handling
The Bambu Lab AMS HT combines automatic filament feeding, sealed storage and active drying up to 85 °C in a single-spool system. It is designed for moisture-sensitive engineering materials as well as everyday 1.75 mm filament.
Why choose the AMS HT?
- Dry up to 85 °C: active moisture discharge, rotating drying and temperature/humidity monitoring help prepare demanding materials.
- Print from a protected spool: sealed storage helps keep dry filament ready between jobs.
- Automatic material handling: RFID identification is supported for compatible Bambu Lab filament.
- Dedicated bypass outlet: manually feed soft or abrasive materials that are unsuitable for automatic loading, including generic TPU, TPE and fibre-filled filament.
- Expandable: connect multiple AMS units where supported by the printer and connection hardware.
Printer compatibility
AMS HT is compatible with Bambu Lab printer families, but the required hub, buffer, adapter and cable arrangement depends on the printer and the number of AMS units. Check the official Bambu Lab AMS connection guide before ordering connection accessories.
Important: drying requires the included power cord and a 6-pin bus connection to a powered-on printer. AMS HT does not operate as a standalone dryer.
Spool and filament guidance
- Filament diameter: 1.75 mm
- Supported spool width: 50–68 mm
- Supported spool diameter: 197–202 mm
- Automatic feeding supports common rigid materials and selected Bambu fibre-filled filaments.
- Use the bypass outlet for soft, brittle or abrasive materials specified by Bambu Lab.
- Damp PVA and BVOH are not supported for printing until dried.
