    The X2D uses a mechanical nozzle-switching system - no extra motor on the toolhead, just gears and triggers. Tested for over one million cycles without degradation. Print two materials in a single job without complex tool changes.

    The left (main) nozzle runs a direct-drive extruder powered by a PMSM servo motor that samples torque and position 20,000 times per second. This delivers 8.5kg max extrusion force - about 70% more than the X1 Carbon - with real-time filament grinding and clog detection.

    The right (auxiliary) nozzle uses a Bowden configuration from the rear of the machine. This split architecture keeps the printhead compact, enabling the full 256mm build volume while supporting dual-material printing at speeds up to 200mm/s.
