The Vortek Upgrade Kit integrates seamlessly with the Bambu Lab AMS, so filaments load automatically and never need to be threaded into the toolhead by hand. Every hotend stores its own filament data, and when you push past seven materials the system intelligently calculates the optimal hotend-to-filament assignments to keep waste at an absolute minimum.

Conventional toolchangers rely on metal contact pins that can oxidize and degrade over thousands of cycles. Bambu Lab engineered Vortek with a fully contactless high-frequency link that keeps nozzle and heatsink temperatures in perfect sync with the printer's control system — the foundation of stable, repeatable induction heating for the long haul.

The kit is a full electromechanical conversion, not just a nozzle bundle. It contains 25 items across five separate packages. Inside you'll find a new toolhead with X-axis assembly, an upgraded heatbed, the AP board, an induction hotend rack, a 4-in-1 PTFE adapter, and six factory-calibrated induction hotends — four 0.4mm hardened steel, one 0.6mm hardened steel, and one 0.2mm stainless steel.
