    360° Rotating Heated

    Polyphemus is equipped with an advanced rotating motor that can achieve 360° automatic rotation and heating,the temperature difference between parts is only 1°C, which means consistent drying results no matter where the filament is located.


    Regular Heating VS Rotating Heating

    For Regular Heating, there is a temperature difference of 36℃ between the spool near the heating port and the spool far from the heating port. Othe other hand, for Rotating Heating, the temperature difference between different direction is only 1℃.


    Multiple hot air outlet design


    PTC Heating Components

    Polyphemus uses efficient PTC heating elements, and the internal temperature can quickly reach 200 degrees Celsius. This technology improves drying efficiency and shortens waiting time. At the same time, the PTC element has a self-regulating temperature control function, which monitors the temperature in real time to avoid the risk of overheating.


    V0 Fireproof Material

    The shell is made of the highest fireproof grade V0 material, which is heat-resistant and fire-proof, ensuring safety and reliability in high temperature environments.


    Multi-material drying

    The program has built-in baking parameters for 9 commonly used 3D printing materials.The system also provides 3 customizable material slots (M1, M2, M3). Users can modify baking parameters, and the system will memorize them for quick access.


    Automatic Humidity Control Function

    When heating is not required, you can activate the humidity mode and freely set the desired humidity level. The system will automatically activate the heating to regulate the internal humidity according to the set value. This ensures that the filament is always ready for printing.


    Rotating exhaust port

    There is an adjustable exhaust vent on the top of the lid. When heating is not needed, you can close the exhaust vent to control the internal humidity and temperature.


    Desiccant compartment

    POLYPHEMUS also provides a dedicated compartment where you can place desiccant to further ensure a dry environment for your filament.

    FAQ

    The temperature or humidity is not accurate

    The temperature or humidity displayed on the screen are the values from the sensor's location and do notrepresent the temperature or humidity at any other position inside the box. The temperature at the sensor'slocation approximates the temperature near the filament, but it does not fully represent the temperature of the dryer.

    When using an external thermometer to measure temperature, it is recommended to use a laboratory-grade filament thermometer specifically designed for measuring air temperature. Household indoor thermometers, infrared thermometers, food thermometers, and similar devices are not suitable for measuring the temperature of this .equipment.

    The humidity value is only intended as a reference for changes in the internal environmental humidity of the product and does not represent the moisture content or level of the 3D printing filament.


    The temperature cannot reach the set value of 70°C

    When setting the temperature to 70°C, please ensure that the heating level is set to the maximum (highest). The heating time should be set for more than 1 hour. Additionally, adjust the exhaust vent opening to the middle position. However, please note that if your ambient temperature is too low, it may not be possible to reach 70°C.


    The rotation function is not working

    Check if the motor is rotating properly. The built-in rotation motor has a lifespan of approximately 1500 hours. If the motor has reached the end of its lifespan and is no longer functioning, you can visit ElBOS official website to purchase a replacement motor, Refer to the motor's instruction manual for specific replacement instructions.

    Check if the spool is jammed.

    Examine if the spool is slipping on the roller shaft. lf so, you can remove any sharp edges (such as mold lines) or he edges of the spool. Alternatively, you can apply 3D printer adhesive or damping oil on the roller shaft to increase friction.


    How to perform regular maintenance?

    When the spool rotates and rubs against the shaft, it can cause wear on the edges of the spool and result in the accumulation of plastic powder inside the device. it is important to regularly clean the internal components of the device to prevent any negative impact on printing. please ensure to clean the device periodically to remove any dirt or residue.

    Regularly lubricate the internal gears. Add lubricating oil to the internal gears according to the specific instructions provided by ElBOS. Visit the official ElBOS website to obtain detailed instructions on how to lubricate the gears properly.

    Avoid using the product in environments with excessive dust. Dust accumulation can affect the drying effect of the device and may lead to sub-optimal performance. It is recommended to use the product in a clean and dust-free environment to maintain its efficiency. Please perform the above maintenance procedures regularly to ensure the normal operation and performance of the equipment.
