Hi, it's Fay from MindKits. I run the warehouse, so this one's coming straight from the shelves.
We're selling through the last of our eSUN filament. It isn't part of our range going forward, so there's no restock on the way. What's in the racks is what's left, and most of it is 20% off until it's gone.
What's actually still here
I checked the bins this morning rather than guessing. There are about 150 eSUN lines with stock on hand at the moment, and the prices below include GST with the discount already applied:
- ePLA+HS in blue, $25.59 a kilo
- PLA+ refills (no spool, less plastic in the bin), $25.20
- eSilk PLA, $27.99, the shiny stuff people use for gifts and display prints
- eABS-GF glass filled, $44, for parts that need to hold their shape when it gets warm
- ePA-CF nylon carbon fibre, $91.08, down from $113.85
That nylon carbon fibre is the one I'd grab if I printed functional parts. It's stiff, it wears well, and at that price it's a lot cheaper than the equivalent from most brands. If you've been putting off a jig or a bracket that PLA keeps letting you down on, this is your window.
A heads up from the person packing the boxes
Clearance stock goes in a very predictable order. Blacks, whites and greys disappear first, then the blues, and what hangs around at the end is always the colours nobody planned a project around. So if you use a lot of one colour, don't leave it three weeks and then ring me disappointed. I'd rather tell you now than tell you it's sold out later.
Same goes if you're a school. Term 4 gets busy fast, and this is a cheap time to fill the filament cupboard before everyone's printing at once.
What we're stocking instead
Once the eSUN clears, Pixel Filament is what we'll be pointing people at. It's our own brand, made to our spec at 1.75 mm with a tolerance of plus or minus 0.03 mm, and the big practical difference is that we hold it here in Auckland. When you order it on a Tuesday you're not waiting on a container to land in six weeks. There's PLA+, Hyper PLA+, PETG, ABS and ASA in the range, and refills if you'd rather not collect empty spools.
If you're not sure which material suits what you're making, ring us on 09 367 7474. Jase or Sam will talk you through it, and no one's going to upsell you into carbon fibre for a phone stand.
The discount shows up in the cart, so there's no code to remember. Have a look at what's left here.
